Za Badnjak 2017. godine sjedio sam na terasi u kratkim hlačama, u majici s kratkim rukavima i ručao, naravno, ribu. Za Božić isto vrijeme. Toplo i sunčano. Takva je bila i većina ovog odlazećag mjeseca siječnja 2018. godine. Palo jednom 10-ak cm. snijega, tek toliko da glumi zimu, i to je sve.
Da li smo to mi svojim nemarom poremetili prirodu, pomiješali godišnja doba, napravili totalnu zbrku, tako da više ne znaš, hoće li sunce, kiša ili snijeg. Znanstvenici nešto prtljaju oko metana i ugljičnog dioksida, kao, ti staklenički plinovi stvorili su efekt staklenika pa se Zemlja zagrijava, drugi opet razloge ovoga što nam se događa s vremenom vide u promjeni sunčevih aktivnosti a neki opet tvrde da su razlog, klimatske promjene na Marsu. Što bilo da bilo, zima, onakvih kao nekad, u doba mog djetinjstva, više nema. S druge strane događaju nam se ekstremi. Tako je pred par godina, točnije 13. na 14. siječnja 2013. godine, u Ogulinu za jedan dan palo rekordnih 76 cm snijega, što je zabilježila i najpoznatija svjetska TV postaja – CNN. To je tada bio izuzetak a nekada je bilo pravilo. Evo nekoliko zgodnih podataka koje vjerujem, mnogi nisu znali.
Mjesec s najbrojnijim najvišim visinama snijega je veljača, a zatim slijede ožujak, pa siječanj, prosinac i studeni. Svakako je zanimljivo spomenuti podatak da su godine, u kojima je na najvećem broju postaja izmjerena najviša visina snijega, - 1955., 1986., 1993., i 2012. 2012. I još jedna zanimljivost - najviša visina snijega izmjerena do sada na glavnim meteorološkom postajama u Hrvatskoj, iznosila je 320 cm, na Zavižanu, najvišoj meteorološkoj postaji (1594 m) u Hrvatskoj, a bilo je to 6. ožujka 1984. I jedan podatak za nepovjerovati. 16. veljače 1929. godine, Gospić, gdje se mjerenja vrše od 1872. godine, bio je doslovce bio zatrpan snijegom. Napadalo ga je čak 285 cm. Na sunčanu Hvaru, rekordna visina snijega izmjerena 1942. godine – 13 cm. U Ogulinu, gdje se meteorološki podaci bilježe od 1949. godine, najveća je visina snijega zabilježena za Dan žena, 8. ožujka 1955. Napadalo ga je 118 cm. Drugarice su na leđima nosili u lokale gdje se je obilježavao taj dan a drugovi su kasno u noć iz tih lokala izlazili na koljenima. Barem tako pričaju. Isti dan iste godine, u Karlovcu je snijega bilo točno jedan metar. Prema tome, ne govorite da je zima gotova. Tko zna. Prevrtljivi ženski mjesec veljača a i ožujak, mogu iznenaditi.
