NIKOLA BOŠKOVIĆ, OGULINAC ZA KOGA JE MALO LJUDI ZNALO.
Za Nikolu Boškovića, pretpostavljam, nikada niste čuli. A radi se o Ogulincu, rođenom u našem gradu, 23. ožujka 1894. godine, osobi, koja je u sportu ostavila dubok trag. Život Boškovića iznimno je zanimljiv i bogat prvenstveno u sportskim aktivnostima. Preminuo je u Zagrebu 1980.
Nikola Bošković se školovao u Sušaku. Već 1904. počinje sportskom aktivnošću u Hrvatskom sokolu.
Bavio se nogometom, lakom atletikom, plivanjem, tenisom, biciklizmom i auto-moto sportom. Nakon I svjetskog rata sudjeluje u osnutku Jugoslavenskoga nogometnog saveza i postaje članom njegova Upravnog odbora (1919).
Od 1920. živi u Zagrebu; član je i tajnik I hrvatskog Građanskog športskog kluba. Sudjeluje u osnutku Jugoslavenskoga olimpijskog odbora, Plivačkog saveza Jugoslavije a bio je i inicijator Prvoga hrvatskog moto kluba 1924 godine. Upravo zahvaljujući Nikoli Boškoviću, današnji Hrvatski motociklistički savez početak svoga rada veže uz 1924. tako da HMS 2024. obilježava 100. godina svoga rada i postojanja.
Evo još zanimljivih detalja iz života ovog osebujnog sortskog radnika.
Od 1926. predsjednik je Sportske komisije Moto saveza Jugoslavije. God. 1928. s biciklističkom reprezentacijom Jugoslavije sudjeluje kao sudac na Olimpijadi u Amsterdamu. Uveo speedway utrke u Jugoslaviji i napisao prvi Pravilnik za speedway vožnje. Sudjeluje i u osnutku Jugoslavenskog touring kluba. Nakon rata jedan je od osnivača Auto-moto saveza Hrvatske, te predsjednik Odbora za automobilizam i motociklizam Fiskulturnog saveza Hrvatske.
Trideset godina organizira jugoslavenska i međunarodna auto-moto natjecanja (»Velika nagrada Jadrana« u Preluku kod Opatije i dr.). Za zasluge u nogometnoj organizaciji dobiva 1969. u povodu 50-obljetnice osnutka Nogometnog saveza Jugoslavije specijalnu zlatnu plaketu i počasni naziv zaslužnoga nogometnog radnika.
Na dan rođenja Nikole Boškovića, a na inicijativu Udruga auto i moto Bo-Se 1906-1924, Hrvatska pošta izdaje sutra ( 24.3. ) samo u našoj pošti PRIGODNI POŠTANSKI ŽIG, koji ima filatelističku vrijednost. Sutra će dakle sva poslana pošta iz Ogulina biti obilježena prigodnim žigom.
Pored toga, izraditi će se 200 komada dopisnica s fotografijama Ogulina i fotografijom Nikole Boškovića – Brade.
Dopisnice sa žigom, biti će upućene na 200 adresa u Hrvatskoj i svijetu.
Krunoslav Dujmić, doajen motociklizma i sakupljač oldtimer motora, koji je uključen u ovu akciju, rekao mi je, da u dogovoru s gradskim vlastima, za Dan Grada ove godine, pripremaju postavu Izložbe 100 godina motociklizma i motociklističkog sporta u Karlovačkoj županiji.
