I s fazom II i IV sve je, činilo se, išlo po planu. Faza II je – Izgradnja zaštitnih građevina željezničke pruge uz retencijski prostor, a faza IV je – Izgradnja brane retencije s pripadajućim objektima. I tako, malo loše vrijeme, malo naši „štrekari“, i predviđeni datum završetka projekta Retencija od 31. 12. 2023. godine, postaje nemoguća misija. Zbog svih ovih problema, izvođač je dobio produžetak. Koji je to sada rok, još nije poznato.
