Motel “Plitvice”, kod starog Masleničkog mosta, otvoren je osamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća. Bio je u sastavu tadašnjeg poduzeća “Plitvička jezera”. U ratu je značajno devastiran jer se stalno nalazio u središtu bitaka oko Masleničkog mosta.
Početkom rata su ga zaposjeli srpski pobunjenici, potom su u njemu boravili unproforci, nakon akcije Maslenica koristila ga je Hrvatska vojska, a potom tzv. Rojsovi inženjerci koji su gradili temelje autoceste. Kad je izgrađen, bio je hotel visoke kategorije sa 118 soba te je zapošljavao značajan broj ljudi s područja Jasenica i Starigrada. Prvi puta sam ga posjetio odmah nakon otvorenja, i ja, mali seljačić, bio sam frapiran raskošem. Bio je to i za sadašnje vrijeme reprezentativan objekt s bazenom i malim heliodromom, te najsuvremenijom opremom. Nakon rata, još je po poznatom hrvatskom modelu devastiran i opljačkan, ostali su samo zidovi i te ostatke motela, kako su mi pričali domorodci, kupio je jedan hrvatski iseljenik iz Australije, porijeklom iz zadarskog Lovinca. Cijena - sitnica. 200 tisuća maraka. Ništa nije radio a onda su se za motel zainteresirali Norvežani. Oni su tu namjeravali napraviti luksuzni objekt koji je trebao postati rezidencijalni dom za starije osobe, a prvenstveno bi ga koristili Norvežani, ali i ljudi treće životne dobi iz Zadarske županije i Hrvatske. Sada je cijena ruševina, odjednom porasla na 4,5 milijuna eura. Stoga je sve ostalo samo na ideji koja nije realizirana. Poslije su se pojavljivali još neki ulagači, par puta je vlasnik nudio objekt na prodaju ali od svega, opet ništa. Od nekad reprezantativog zdanja, ostale su samo ruševine. Kao i u Haludovu.
