Predmet: Priopćenje za javnost – Sramotno Domitrovićevo izjednačavanje dr. Franje Tuđmana s Titom i Pavelićem
Poštovani!
Nakon druge sjednice Gradskog vijeća Grada Ogulina, održane 16.4.2019. godine, smatramo da smo dužni reagirati na sramotne izjave gradonačelnika Dalibora Domitrovića.
Na Aktualnom satu vijećnici HDZ-a osvrnuli su se na skidanje križeva i slika pokojnog predsjednika Tuđmana na pojedinim izbornim mjestima tijekom posljednjih izbora. Tražili smo mišljenje i komentar gradonačelnika, koji je ujedno i predsjednik ogulinskog SDP-a, na navedene događaje. Tada su predstavnici Socijaldemokratske partije tražili skidanje križeva i slika prvog hrvatskog predsjednika dr. Franje Tuđmana. Slike su bile bez ikakvih stranačkih obilježja ili bilo čega čime bi se mogle staviti u kontekst izbora.
Stav da križu i slici dr. Franje Tuđmana nije mjesto na biralištu ne želimo preispitivati i on je odraz Domitrovićevog svjetonazora i osobnog mišljenja. Međutim, nedopustiva je i sramotna činjenica da gospodin Domitrović u isti kontekst stavlja dr. Franju Tuđmana, druga Tita i Antu Pavelića. Također, njegovo elementarno poznavanje povijesti dolazi u pitanje kada ih sve naziva hrvatskim predsjednicima. Jednako tako, ponašanje predstavnika SDP-a koji su prijetili da će idući put slika pokojnog predsjednika završiti u rijeci Dobri, smatramo krajnje neprihvatljivim i uvredljivim.
Uloga prvog hrvatskog predsjednika u stvaranju neovisne Republike Hrvatske nemjerljiva je. Dr. Franju Tuđmana možemo smatrati najvećim vizionarom i državnikom u hrvatskoj povijesti jer je upravo pod njegovim vodstvom stvorena, branjena i oslobođena neovisna Republika Hrvatska. Predsjednik Tuđman bio je predvodnik demokratskih procesa u Republici Hrvatskoj čijom zaslugom hrvatski građani danas imaju pravo na slobodno izražavanje mišljenja. Međutim, to pravo nikako ne podrazumijeva pokušaje suptilnog izjednačavanja s pojedinim diktatorima iz ne tako davne povijesti.
